Print up to 75 photos per charge with the optional battery (available separately; number of prints per charge may vary). With the additional of an optional Bluetooth Wireless Printer Adapter, you can print directly from memory cards, PictBridge-enabled cameras and camera phones. One USB port and four memory card slots are built in, as is a 20-sheet paper tray.
View photos and select what to print on the 1.5-inch color image display. Sharply detailed, vibrant photos with realistic skin tones are consistently products from resolutions up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi black and 4,800 x 1,200 dpi optimized color. Simple software adjustments improve your images with automatic red-eye removal, brightness and sharpness adjustments, and more. Printing speeds vary depending on resolution, but you can expect a typical completed 4" x 6" print in 45 seconds (draft mode), 60 seconds (normal mode) and 95 seconds (best mode).
Add creative touches using a variety of color effects—choose vibrant color, black-and-white or antique right from the front panel, no need for a PC. Print 4-by-12-inch panorama shots, stickers and action sequences from video clips, even 4-by-6-inch adhesive photos to use for scrapbooking. The printer is compatible with both Macintosh and Windows operating systems, as well as CompactFlash Type I and II, SmartMedia, Secure Digital/MultiMedia Card, MeF12mory Stick, and xD memory cards. HP provides a one-year warranty.

VERY simple to use; plug it in, turn it on, select language, insert card, select which image to print by scrolling forward or backward on the display, put in a sheet of paper and push the print button. Print quality results are very good - as good as my HP 7660 albeit slower to print. Would give it five stars if the screen resolution were better and the speed was a bit quicker. This printer is very easy to use. Once set up, all you do is insert your memory card, select which image you want to print by scrolling up or down on the display, put in a blank 4" x 6" photo paper (preferably glossy, not matte) and push the print button. The quality of the prints from this printer is fantastic. As good, or better, that HP's more expensive models (HP 425 or HP 475) and just as good as some of Cannon's & Epson's more higher priced models. in two to three days. Considering money spent the printer works quite well. Pictures come out very good overall. An HP 95 or HP 97 cartridge is used for color photos. It contains three color inks but no black. Still, photos will easily satisfy the average owner. An HP 100 cartridge can be used for black and white photos. Yes, the color cartridge must be exchanged for the black one when converting from color to black and white and vise versa. Even so, we find the printer fun and very simple to use. Just keep in mind that the price of ink will soon exceed the price of the printer if used often. What we do is use it for special occasions or when the grandchildren come over. Gary |
